In addition, precise referencing and citation also allows the reader of your work to easily identify those sources used in your work and to follow up on them if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Academic institutions and publications worldwide use a variety of referencing styles. Each has its own rules and conventions for formatting sources. (&lt;Publication Year&gt;). &lt;Book Title&gt; (&lt;Edition&gt;). &lt;Place of Publication&gt; : &lt;Publisher&gt;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-4f0c843c\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-heading-4f0c843c\"><strong>Forms of Referencing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many referencing styles, but they usually consist of two forms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-roman\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>in-text citation\/reference<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>out-text referencing\/ bibliography<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A citation wherever you refer to a source in your text<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In-text citations are the short citations you include in the written text that help a reader understand which sources you are quoting or referring to in your writing e.g. (McEwan, 2022) or (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>      b. A reference list or bibliography at the end listing full details of all your sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>References are the full details of the source you have cited in your writing. Full details about the sources you have used in your writing are included in your reference list. e.g. Smith, J. (2013) Statistical\u00a0analysis. 2nd ed.
